Esplanade 5K Run & Walk
The Esplanade Association presents a 5K event at Fiedler Field on the Charles River Esplanade on October 25, 2026. The event offers separate running and walking options on public park pathways and includes a vendor fair and family-friendly fall activities.

The Run is a timed race with chipped bibs, official results, and awards for top finishers across multiple age categories. The Walk is untimed and uses unchipped bibs. Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted in the Walk only; dogs must be on a leash no longer than six feet and waste bags are required. Walk participants with strollers or dogs are asked to start at the back for safety.
Registration fees vary by option and by day of registration. Registrations are non refundable but may be transferable. All registrants receive a virtual prize bag, a pre event information packet, and an 18 oz recycled commemorative cup. T shirts will not be provided.
Accessibility notes include a most accessible entry via the Frances Appleton Pedestrian Bridge, uneven cobblestone on some interior footbridges, rideshare drop off guidance near 170 Charles Street, and accessible gender neutral portable restrooms on site.
