ERRA Road Relay Championships
The English Road Running Association hosts the Spring Road Relay Championships at Sutton Park in Sutton Coldfield. This national competition features elite club competition across two main events held on a course measuring 5.424 km per stage.
The event structure consists of two primary categories:
- Mens 12 Stage Relay: 12 stages of 5.424 km.
- Womens 6 Stage Relay: 6 stages of 5.424 km.
The championships are held under UKA rules. Participation is restricted to UKA affiliated clubs, and all competitors must be first-claim members of their respective clubs and registered with England Athletics. For the Men's event, entries are by invitation only. While there are no restrictions on the number of teams a club may enter for the Women's event, clubs are limited in the total number of athletes they can name on their entry lists.
The competition awards British Championship medals to the first three finishing teams in each race. Additionally, ERRA medals are presented to the first three English teams, and a winner's trophy is designated for the top English team. Individual recognition is also provided for the fastest senior and under-20 athletes.
Participants must be at least 17 years old. All team members are required to wear the same design of registered club vests. The venue is located at the Towngate Entrance of Sutton Park, providing a dedicated road circuit for the relay stages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
