Birmingham Running Festival
The Birmingham Running Festival takes place in Sutton Park, located just minutes from Birmingham City Centre. As one of the largest urban parks in Europe, the venue features a course consisting of road and gravel terrain. Participants run along historic roads previously used by British distance running athletes.
The event supports the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, an organization providing helicopter-led emergency medical services and pre-hospital care. The festival includes an event village with various food and drink options, along with marshals stationed throughout the course to guide participants.
The following distances are available:
- Half Marathon: Features an elevation gain of 306m.
- 10k: Features an elevation gain of 144m.
- 5k: Features an elevation gain of 72m.
- Junior Race: Features an elevation gain of 14m.
All participants receive chip-timed results, free race photographs, and a unique themed medal upon completion. Post-race refreshments are provided at the finish line. While a technical t-shirt is not included in the standard entry fee to reduce waste and overall costs, runners have the option to purchase a branded technical garment separately.
