EREF 5K Run/Walk
The EREF 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for April 18, 2026, at Hewlett Point Beach in East Rockaway. The event is organized by the East Rockaway Education Foundation and is presented as a community running and walking event.
Registration is not yet open and will open prior to the event. Proceeds from the event benefit the East Rockaway Education Foundation.
Participant amenities include a T-shirt for the first 100 registrants, personalized bib numbers for those registered three or more weeks before Race Day, and post-race refreshments. Bib pickup is available in person before the event through event staff; a Self Lookup area is provided for participants who do not know their bib number. Virtual participants receive bibs by shipping, with a shipping window that ranges from one week prior to one week after the event. Participants who register within 24 hours of bib pickup may receive their bib number by text.
Awards are given to the top three men and top three women overall and in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Live online, email, and text results are available, along with free video and same-day finish line photos; additional event photos are shared on social media.
