EREF 5K Run/Walk : East Rockaway Education Foundation
The EREF 5K Run/Walk is organized by the East Rockaway Education Foundation and is scheduled for April 18, 2026, at Hewlett Point Beach in East Rockaway. The event is presented as a community 5K run and walk and is intended to raise proceeds for the East Rockaway Education Foundation.
Registration is not yet open and will open prior to the event. The first 100 registrants receive a T-shirt. Entrants who register three or more weeks before the event receive a personalized bib number. Post-race refreshments are provided.
In-person bib pickup is managed by event staff; participants who do not know their bib number will have access to a self-lookup area. Registrants who register within 24 hours of bib pickup will be texted their bib number shortly after registering, and virtual entries are shipped to participants within a shipping window that ranges from one week prior to the event to one week after the event.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 plus. Live online, email, and text results are provided, along with free video and same-day finish line photos; additional event photos are available on social media.
