EREF 5K Run/Walk : East Rockaway Education Foundation
The event is a community 5-kilometer run/walk organized by the East Rockaway Education Foundation at Hewlett Point Beach in East Rockaway. It is scheduled for April 18, 2026 and is presented as a single 5K distance.
Registration is not yet open; the organizer offers a notification option for when registration begins. Last year information is available from the organizer.
Amenities include a T-shirt for the first 100 registrants, a personalized bib number for those who register three or more weeks before race day, and post-race refreshments.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers overall and to the top three male and female finishers in the following age divisions: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over.
Bib pickup is available in person at the event; participants must know their bib number or use an on-site Self Lookup. Virtual bibs are shipped and the shipping window ranges from one week prior to one week after the event. If registration occurs within 24 hours of in-person pickup, the bib number may be texted quickly or retrieved via Bib Lookup.
Live results are provided online, by email, and by text. Free race video and same-day finish line photos are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
