EREF 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K run/walk organized by the East Rockaway Education Foundation and held at Hewlett Point Beach in East Rockaway. It is scheduled for April 18; registration is not yet open and a notification option is available to learn when registration opens.
Amenities listed for participants include a T-shirt for the first 100 registrants, a personalized bib number for those who register three or more weeks before race day, and post-race refreshments. Bib pickup is offered in person through event staff with a Self Lookup area for those who do not know their bib number. If an entry is completed within 24 hours of in-person pickup, the bib number will be texted to the registrant quickly or can be retrieved via Bib Lookup. Virtual entries receive bibs by mail within a shipping window that ranges from one week before the event to one week after the event.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age divisions, including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Proceeds benefit the East Rockaway Education Foundation. Live online results, email and text result options, free video, and same-day finish line photos are provided; additional event photos appear on social media.
