Event Overview

The Erase, Elevate, & Run event takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026. It features two distances: a 10 km run and a 1 mile walk/run. The event is hosted by the Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk’s Office and CrimeStoppers of Memphis and Shelby County.

Course Details

Both events start at the same time at The Hyde Pavilion at Shelby Farms, near the Farm Road entrance. All participants begin with a one-mile loop on the Chickasaw Trail, returning to the Hyde Pavilion. The 1 mile participants finish there. The 10 km runners then complete two loops around Hyde Lake before finishing back at the Hyde Pavilion.

Purpose and Hosts

This is described as a first-of-its-kind race to celebrate the processing of 10,000 expungements for residents of Shelby County. An expungement is described as a legal process that clears a record. The event aims to celebrate lives changed through second chances, raise awareness about expungement and community reentry, and thank partners and supporters.

Awards

For the 10 km race, awards are given to timed participants. This includes overall male and female winners, as well as top male and female finishers in multiple age groups, ranging from 15 and under to 70 and up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
