EpicTrails 8 km
This is a guided night trail run of 8 km that meets at Milngavie Train Station and follows local paths including the Clyde Coastal path and the West Highland Way. The run is described as a social group activity rather than a race, with regrouping at several points and a variable pace to suit the route and conditions. Group size is kept manageable to support participant safety and the organisers state that no one will be left behind.
A qualified, experienced guide who is insured and first aid trained will lead the run. Dogs and under 18s are not permitted due to insurance restrictions. Mandatory kit varies by route and season and will be listed in the run brief; at minimum participants must wear trail shoes and carry a headtorch. Participants without required kit will not be allowed to take part.
The activity is organised on a not for profit basis. Fees initially cover event costs and any surplus is donated periodically to a local charity. The event date is 22 October 2026. A nominal entry fee is listed and the organiser has a refund policy that requires requests in advance and does not allow refunds with less than 24 hours notice.
