EpicTrails 10km Exploring trails by headtorch
This event on 15 October 2026 is a guided trail run of approximately 10 km that starts and finishes at Milngavie Train Station, G62 8PG. The route uses local trails including the Clyde Coastal path and the West Highland Way and may include other nearby trails. The run begins in daylight and is expected to finish after dark or as it becomes dark, so lighting is required.
A qualified, experienced guide who is insured and first aid trained will lead the group. The activity is a social run rather than a race. Organisers state that no one will be left behind, groups will regroup at points along the route, pace will vary, and group size will be kept at a level intended to support participant safety.
Participants should note that dogs and under 18s are not permitted because they are not covered by insurance. Mandatory kit always includes trail shoes and a head torch; additional required items will be listed in the run brief. Participants without the mandatory kit will not be allowed to take part.
The runs operate not for profit. Money raised will first cover event costs and any remainder will be donated to a local charity on a periodic basis. The published capacity for the event is 14 places and the entry fee is shown as £3.00. Refunds are given only if requested and are not available with less than 24 hours notice.
