EpicTrails 10 km - Doughnot Hill and Lang Crags
This is a guided 10 km trail run on 27 Aug 2026 that visits Doughnot Hill and Lang Crags, departing from the public carpark at Overtoun House, Dumbarton. The route includes a summit at 375 m and offers panoramic views of the Clyde. The trail surface is a mixture of road, trail, open moorland and wet bog.
Runs are guided by a qualified, insured leader with first aid training. These sessions are social runs, not races; groups will regroup at points along the route, no one is left behind and group sizes are managed for safety. Dogs and participants under 18 are not permitted due to insurance restrictions.
Mandatory kit will be specified in the run brief and varies by route and season. Always required are trail shoes and a head torch; participants without required kit will not be allowed to run. The activity is run not for profit: funds first cover running costs and any surplus is periodically donated to a local charity.
The listed entry fee is £3. Total places for the event are 14. Refunds are issued only if requested and are not available for cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
