Event overview
The Epic Dino Dash Relay & 5K is scheduled for March 14, 2026, at The Epic, 2960 Epic Place, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. This is the third annual running of the event and it includes a 5K fun run and a relay race held on the Grand Lawn. The 5K follows a scenic course around the pond and through Epic Central. Participants in the 5K receive a shirt, a swag bag, and a dino-themed medal. The relay is restricted to participants aged 18 and older.
Race format and logistics
The relay uses teams of four. Each team is provided matching inflatable dinosaur costumes for the race. Relay teams run two laps around the pond between The Epic and The Summit, with a baton exchanged at the halfway point; the fastest team to complete the two laps is the winner. Relay events may include up to five teams of four (20 participants total per race); the number of relay races will be determined by registration numbers.
Fees and policies
Published entry fees are $30 for the Dino Dash 5K and $20 for the Dino Dash Relay. Fees increase after December 31, 2025. The event is subject to cancellation for inclement weather; no refunds or rain checks will be issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
