English Riviera Race - Torquay, Devon
New for 2026, the English Riviera Race is held on a completely closed road circuit around the centre of Torquay. The course uses smooth tarmac and the lap length is exactly 5 km. The route is mostly flat with a couple of climbs each lap and total elevation is approximately 47 m per 5 km lap. The start and finish are on the road next to Torre Abbey Meadows. The route follows the sea front west towards Preston, turns at about 2.4 km and retraces to complete a loop around the back of Torre Abbey.
A UK Athletics licence has been applied for and the course will be accurately measured and run under UK Athletics rules, with results appearing on Power of 10. Event services include professional chip timing, a fully marked and marshalled course, professional first aid and public liability insurance. Professional event photographs are provided (social versions with the event logo and hi-res downloads available for an additional charge).

- 10K - two laps, chip-timed
- 5K - one lap, chip-timed
Age requirements: entrants must be 15 years old by race day for the 10K and 11 years old by race day for the 5K. All finishers receive a custom medal; podium prizes are offered for the top three men and top three women, with additional junior and veteran prizes. Paid parking is available within easy reach of the beach and local campsites and hotels are nearby. Triathlon and open swim events take place earlier the same day.
