English Riviera Race
The English Riviera Race takes place on 5 July 2026 at Torre Abbey Meadows, Torquay. The event offers these distances:
- 10K - two laps of the 5K circuit, minimum age 15 on race day
- 5K - one lap of the 5K circuit, minimum age 11 on race day
Course and event services
The course is a completely closed road circuit around the centre of Torquay. Each lap is exactly 5K on smooth tarmac. The route starts and finishes on the road next to Torre Abbey Meadows, follows the seafront west towards Preston, and returns via a loop behind Torre Abbey. The course is largely flat with a couple of climbs each lap and about 47 m of elevation per 5K lap. The 10K race is two laps and lap time splits will appear in the results.
The event is run under UK athletics rules with an England Athletics licence applied for and results shown on Power of 10. Race entry includes professional RFID chip timing, fully marked and marshalled routes, professional first aid, water and feed stations, event toilets and caterers, public liability insurance, and a finisher medal for all. There are podium prizes for the top three men and women and prizes for juniors and veterans. Event photographs are provided with a Sportiva Events logo at social media resolution; hi-res downloads and prints are available for an additional charge.
