Event
The English Riviera Race is scheduled for 5 July 2026 in Torquay, Devon, with a closed road circuit around the town centre. The event offers two distances:
- 10K - two laps (exactly 5K per lap)
- 5K - one lap (exactly 5K)
The course will be accurately measured and is intended to be run under UK athletics rules with results appearing on Power of 10. The organiser has applied for a UK Athletics licence.
Course and facilities
The lap surface is smooth tarmac and total elevation is approximately 47 m per 5 km lap. The route starts and finishes on the road next to Torre Abbey Meadows and follows the seafront west towards Preston before turning at about 2.4 km and retracing to complete a loop around the back of Torre Abbey. The 10K race uses two laps and will include lap time splits in the results.
Race entry includes professional RFID chip timing, fully marked and marshalled routes, water and feed stations, event facilities and toilets, professional first aid, event caterers, and public liability insurance. All finishers receive a custom medal; podium prizes and additional category prizes are planned. Professional event photography will be available.
