Event Overview
The English Riviera Race is a new road running event in Torquay, held on a completely closed road circuit. The race starts on the road adjacent to Torre Abbey Meadows. All participants run under UK Athletics rules, and the event organizers have applied for a UK Licence. Performance results are submitted to the Power of 10 database.
Distance Options
Participants can choose from two different distances depending on their age and preference:
- 5 km (1 lap): Available to entrants aged 11 and over.
- 10 km (2 laps): Available to entrants aged 15 and over.
Participant Services
The course is fully marked and assisted by marshals to guide runners along the circuit. Each participant receives professional RFID chip timing to track their progress. Water and feed stations are positioned along the route, and medical support is provided by trained medics.
The event site includes various facilities, such as toilets and on-site caterers. Every finisher is awarded a medal upon completion of the race.
