Wendover Woods 50 takes place on 14 November 2026 at Trig Point Field, Aston Hill, Halton, Aylesbury (HP22 5NQ). The race distance is 50 miles (about 81 km), run as five 10-mile loops entirely within Wendover Woods. The listed field size is 250 runners. Entries open 6 December 2025 and close 26 October 2026. Entry fees are shown as £117 with a UKA discounted rate of £115. Minimum age is 20 on race day. The event is held under a UK Athletics permit.
Course and race support
The route is almost entirely trail (99% trail, 1% road) and includes 10,000 ft (about 3,050 m) of ascent and the same amount of descent. The course is marked with recycled Tyvek ribbons and pink Centurion arrows. There are nine aid stations staged around the course, including the start/finish as an aid point. Aid stations provide a range of food and drinks including gels, electrolyte drinks, water, cola, sweets, fruit, nuts, sandwiches and vegan and gluten free options. Medical support is provided with a static team at the start/finish and roving medics in the woods.
Rules and logistics
Runners must finish within a 15-hour overall cut-off; additional on-course cut-offs apply. Pacers and personal crew are not permitted. Drop/finish line bags may be deposited at registration, must be labelled and must not exceed 50 litres. Mandatory kit includes a charged mobile phone, survival blanket, whistle, waterproof jacket, warm hat, gloves, long-sleeve spare layer, a personal cup and lighting if starting a loop after 13:00.
