Event overview

Wendover Woods 50 is a 50 mile (81 km) foot race on Saturday 14 November 2026 organised by Centurion Running. The route is five 10 mile loops entirely within Wendover Woods, woodland managed by Forestry England. The course has about 10,000 ft (3,050 m) of ascent and descent and is listed as 99% trail and 1% road. The field is limited to 250 starters and the overall race cut-off is 15 hours. Entries open on 6 December 2025; the entry fee is shown as £115 (UKA discounted) or £117 on the entry page. Minimum age is 20.

Course, support and rules

The course is waymarked with pink ribbons and Centurion arrows. There are nine aid stations offering a range of food and drink, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, plus hot drinks. The start/finish and registration take place in Trig Point Field, Aston Hill, Halton, Aylesbury (HP22 5NQ). Drop/finish bags are stored at registration, accessible between loops, and must not exceed 50 litres.

Medical cover includes a static team at the start/finish and a roving team in the woods. Pacers and crew are not permitted; supporters are allowed on course except at Hale Lane aid station, and no handovers are allowed. A finisher medal is awarded; prizes are given to the first three men and women and to listed veteran categories. Mandatory kit is required, including a mobile phone, survival blanket, whistle, waterproof jacket, warm hat, gloves, a dry long-sleeved layer, and a personal cup.
