Wendover Woods 50

Wendover Woods 50 takes place on 14 November 2026 at Trig Point Field, Aston Hill, Halton, Aylesbury HP22 5NQ. The event is a 50 mile foot race run entirely within Wendover Woods on forest trails. The route is made up of five 10 mile loops and is almost all trail. The course includes 10,000 feet of ascent and 10,000 feet of descent, with a mix of wide, soft trails, runnable climbs and some much steeper ascents and descents. The course is waymarked, there are nine aid stations and full medical support. Runners must complete the course within a 15 hour time limit.

Entries open on 6 December 2025 and close on 26 October 2026. Entrants must meet the qualification standard of having completed at least a marathon distance within the event cut off between 1 January 2021 and race day; the minimum age is 20. The event is limited in entry numbers. The start and finish are at Trig Point Field opposite Aston Hill Bike Park. Drop bags are collected at registration, labelled and available at the end of each loop; maximum 50 litres. Pacers and crew are not permitted; supporters are allowed on course except at Hale Lane aid station. Mandatory kit must be carried, including a charged mobile phone, survival blanket, whistle, waterproof jacket, warm hat, gloves, a long sleeved top kept dry, a personal cup and primary and backup lighting of at least 100 lumens for later loops.
