South Devon Coastal Trail Run
The South Devon Coastal Trail Run takes place in Beesands and is part of the Endurancelife trail running season. The course is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and features a mix of technical coastal paths and inland sections. Participants navigate a variety of terrains, including grass and jagged rock formations.
The event offers four distinct distances:
- 10K: A course of 6.9 miles with 1,283 feet of total ascent.
- Half Marathon: A course of 13.3 miles with 2,238 feet of total ascent.
- Marathon: A course of 27.6 miles with 4,583 feet of total ascent.
- Ultra: A course of 33.8 miles with 5,397 feet of total ascent.
The routes are fully marked with signs, and no personal navigation is required. The course begins at Start Point and follows the coastline past sandy coves and rocky areas before heading inland to traverse several hills.
Participants receive electronic timing with instant results and split times, along with a finisher's medal. Essential event nutrition and a safety kit are also available. Registered runners are required to complete an online check-in process two weeks before the event to verify personal details and watch a safety video.
