Event Overview
The Classic Quarter is a 44-mile ultra marathon. It takes place along the south Cornish coast in the UK on June 6, 2026. The route follows the South West Coast Path from Lizard Point to Land's End.
Route Details
The course covers 44 miles with an ascent of 5,531 feet. The terrain is described as severe, featuring rock, mud, and trail. The path includes innumerable steep climbs and descents. The event is fully waymarked, so navigation is not required.
Participation Formats
The event can be undertaken in three formats:
- Solo: Individual runners.
- Relay Pair: A team of two runners.
- Relay Quad: A team of four runners.
All formats cover the full 44-mile distance. The event is part of the Endurancelife seasonal leaderboard, where participants earn points based on performance.
Event Features
The event celebrated its 20th anniversary year. Over ten thousand runners have taken part since it began in 2007. The solo and relay categories each have current course records. Prize money is offered for beating the current solo course records.
