Event overview
The Classic Quarter is an ultra marathon along the south Cornish coast from Lizard Point to Land's End on 6 June 2026. The route follows the South West Coast Path and covers 44 miles with approximately 5,531 ft of ascent. The terrain is described as severe and includes rock, mud and trail under potentially changeable coastal weather. The solo category of the event awards points towards the Endurancelife season leaderboard and participants are asked to complete an online check-in about three weeks before the event.
Format and course details
The event is offered in three entry formats: solo, relay pair and relay quad, all covering the same 44-mile route. The course is fully waymarked and uses electronic timing. Prize money of 2 x £1,000 is available to the winners if they beat the current course records; any prize won is split between the participant and a charity chosen by that participant.
Services, add-ons and entry terms
Included on event day are a finishers medal and an energy bar. Optional add-ons listed include coach transport from Land's End to Lizard Point (£25) and from Penzance to Lizard Point (£20), an event safety kit (£12) and a 10-minute massage (£10.80). Entry conditions include a 30-day full refund for changes of mind, the option to transfer an entry to another person up to 14 days before the event, flexible changes to other events up to 30 days prior, and full refunds if the event is cancelled.
