Run Mawnan
Run Mawnan is an annual, family friendly road running event organised by Falmouth Rotary Club in Mawnan Smith, Cornwall. The event raises money for charities and stages multiple distances that all start and finish at Carwinion Playing Field.
Distances offered:
- 1 Mile Children's Fun Run - up to 12 years old
- 5K - junior and adult categories
- 10K - 18 years or older
The routes follow village roads and include views toward North Helford. All courses lead down into the village past the Red Lion Pub and along country lanes toward Trebah Gardens. At the Helford Passage turning, runners return to the village; 5K runners finish at the playing field while 10K runners continue through Boskensoe, Tregarne and Penwarne before returning to the finish in Carwinion Playing Field. The children’s fun run passes the primary school and runs through wooded Carwinion Lane back to the field. All children under 7 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Registration is required and takes place at Carwinion Playing Field. Entry on the day may be available subject to a surcharge and may not include guaranteed finisher medals or goody bags. A student discount is available. After the event there are refreshments including a licensed bar, a barbecue and a cake stall, plus entertainment, a raffle, massage and other stalls.
