Barr Lake Trail Race - Brighton, CO
The Barr Lake Trail Race takes place at Barr Lake State Park in Brighton, Colorado on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The event offers multiple distances with courses that start and finish at the park Nature Center or Visitor Center and run around Barr Lake with continuous views of the water and the front range.
All courses are on 100% dirt terrain and are described as unusually flat for Colorado, with less than 100 feet of elevation gain per loop and a maximum elevation around 5,106 feet. Course formats include multi-loop routes and an out-and-back for the shortest distance. Time limits vary by distance, ranging from six to nine hours depending on the race.
Distances offered:
- 50K: 31.6 miles, three-loop course, time limit 9 hours.
- 30K: multi-loop course, time limit 8 hours.
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, two-loop course, time limit 8 hours.
- 15K: 9.1 miles, one-loop course, time limit 7 hours.
- 5K: 3.3 miles, out-and-back, time limit 6 hours.
The event operates a cupless policy; reusable cups are available or participants may bring their own. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable, and registration closes on June 8, 2026.
