Barr Lake Trail Race
The Barr Lake Trail Race takes place on June 13, 2026 at Barr Lake State Park in Brighton, Colorado. The event offers multiple trail distances that loop around Barr Lake and start and finish at the park Nature Center. The course provides continuous views of the water and the Front Range.
Distances offered:
- 50K
- 30K
- Half Marathon
- 15K
- 5K
The routes are run entirely on dirt surfaces. The event is organized as looped courses; the 50K uses multiple loops and shorter distances use fewer loops. Elevation gain per loop is under 100 feet. Aid station coverage varies by distance: the longer distances include several aid stations while the 15K and 5K have fewer or no aid stations. Crews are allowed to support runners at the finish area. Pacers are not permitted for any distance.
Logistics at the race site include a designated drop bag area at the start/finish and parking at the lot next to the staging area. State park fees are included with race registration.
