Event overview
The Barr Lake Trail Race takes place Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Barr Lake State Park in Brighton, CO. The event uses a looped course that starts and finishes at the park Nature Center and follows trails around Barr Lake, with continuous views of the lake and the Colorado front range. Distances offered include multiple trail distances on dirt surfaces, and each course has published aid station locations and a time limit.

- 50K : 31.6 miles; 3x loop; 100% dirt; 3 aid stations; 9-hour limit.
- 30K : 18.2 miles; 2x loop; 100% dirt; 3 aid stations; ~8-hour limit.
- Half Marathon : 13.1 miles; 2x loop; 100% dirt; 3 aid stations; ~8-hour limit.
- 15K : 9.1 miles; 1x loop; 100% dirt; 1 aid station; 7-hour limit.
- 5K : 3.3 miles; out-and-back; 100% dirt; 0 aid stations; ~6-hour limit.
Logistics and services
Race parking is at the Barr Lake State Park visitors center (13401 Picadily Rd., Brighton, CO). Bib pickup locations include a local running store in Louisville and the Barr Lake visitors area. The event is cupless: reusable cups are available for purchase at registration or participants may bring their own. Volunteer positions are available; volunteer perks noted include race credits and race swag. Live split tracking is provided during race weekend.
