Quantico 12K - Marine Corps Marathon
The Quantico 12K is a 7.46 mile (12K) race held on the training grounds of the Officer Candidates School (OCS). The course provides access through areas used for OCS training and takes place on August 22, 2026 as part of the Marine Corps Marathon event series. Participants for 2026 can earn a finisher medal and a participant shirt.
Registration for the 2026 Quantico 12K is open. Participants must be at least 14 years old and must be able to maintain a 20 minute per mile pace. Military registration is offered at a discounted rate for Active Duty and Reservists in the Military Service Members category; the discount is applied to the event price and military registration remains open until the event sells out.
The Marine Corps Marathon Organization introduced The Crossroads Cup for the Quantico 12K. Marine Corps Base Quantico units and tenant commands are invited to compete on August 22; the winning team receives $500 in unit ball funds.
Registrations for 2026 are final; transfers and deferrals are not permitted. Optional protection through TEAK is available at registration for refundable registration when purchased after February 27. Refund requests require proof and supporting documentation, must be requested within 30 days of the event, and supporting documentation provided within 90 days. Refundable registration does not cover concerns about COVID-19 without a positive test, event cancellation, or associated processing fees.
