Quantico 12K
The Quantico 12K is a running event taking place on the grounds of the Officer Candidates School (OCS) at Marine Corps Base Quantico. The course covers a distance of 7.46 miles (12 km) through the training areas used by future Marine leaders.
Participants must be at least 14 years old to enter. The event requires runners to maintain a minimum pace of 20 minutes per mile. All participants receive a shirt and a finisher medal upon completion of the course. Registration includes a discounted category for active duty and reserve military service members.
The event features specialized competitions, including The Crossroads Cup, where units and tenant commands from Marine Corps Base Quantico compete for unit funds. This race also serves as the third tier of the Distinguished Participant program. Runners who complete this event alongside the Marine Corps 17.75K, Marine Corps Historic Half, Marine Corps Marathon, and Turkey Trot 10K within the same year earn a special commemorative medal.
The organization does not permit registration transfers to other individuals or deferrals to future years.
