Quantico 12K overview
The Quantico 12K is a road race held on the training grounds of the Officer Candidates School at Marine Corps Base Quantico. The course covers 7.46 miles and provides access through areas used for Marine training.
The start area is located on Floyd Lane near the OCS Chow Hall and the Candidates' parking. There are three water points along the course: WP 1 at Iwo Jima Trail (Mile 2.25), WP 2 at Buffalo Pond Road (Mile 3.9), and WP 3 on Engineer Road near Fartlek Trail (Mile 6).
Registration for the 2026 event is open. Participants must be at least 14 years old and able to maintain a 20 minute per mile pace. Military registration is offered at a discounted rate for active duty and reservists in a designated category.
There is no baggage area at the event; runners are advised to keep gear in their vehicles. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and in Masters, Grand Masters and age categories; all awards must be picked up in person. Finisher certificates are available via the published results page and can be personalized with up to four badges reflecting the runner’s experience. The event does not permit registration transfers or deferrals; refundable registration options are available through a third-party protection plan.
