Dahlgren Heritage Rail Trail Events
The 3H Trail Half Marathon and the Dahlgren Heritage Rail Trail 50K take place in King George, Virginia. Both events are held on a rails-to-trails course that is mostly flat and smooth. The routes are designed as out-and-back courses. While much of the terrain is even, certain sections contain roots and bog boards that require participants to use extra caution.
Participants may choose between two distances:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 50 km
The event is open to both runners and walkers. Participants must adhere to specific time limits based on their chosen distance. The half marathon has a time limit of 4 hours, while the 50K distance has an 8-hour time limit.
Individuals who complete the course receive a finisher's medal and a choice of either a tank top or a t-shirt. The event includes cash prizes for competitive participants.
