Event overview
The End Alzheimer’s 5K is a community fundraising event held in June 2026 at Arrowhead Park, 989 State Rd., Cheraw, SC 29520. The event is presented as the 5th Annual Longest Day Walk and is part of the END ALZHEIMER’S Pee Dee Grand Prix. The Purple Crusaders, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving the Cheraw/Chesterfield area, is the host and beneficiary.
Race details, course and awards
The event includes a 5K run and a walk; registration is required for 5K participants while the walk is free. Donations to the Purple Crusaders are accepted, with proceeds supporting local care, support, and research initiatives related to Alzheimer’s disease. Participants will receive a 5K shirt while supplies last. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers, and to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
