Encinitas Turkey Trot
The Encinitas Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving running event held in Encinitas that features timed road races and a short fun run. The course starts and finishes under the "ENCINITAS" sign on Coast Highway 101 and includes course maps for the 10k and 5k distances. Water stations are provided throughout the course and at the start and finish area.

A costume contest runs alongside the races with cash prizes for 1st ($300), 2nd ($200), and 3rd ($100); contest registration occurs at the costume contest table and awards are presented after the 5k.
