Empower the Exceptional 5k & Fun Run
Empower the Exceptional is the ninth annual Superhero 5k and Fun Run held in Memphis on September 19, 2026, at Hyde Lake Pavilion, Great View Drive North. The event raises funds for Exceptional Connections International, a nonprofit that supports people with disabilities in under-resourced communities.
Registration options include a timed 5k with chip finish or an untimed 1k fun run; both courses are accessible and wheelchair friendly. Each registration includes a t-shirt with the event superhero logo; t-shirts are only guaranteed for registrations completed by August 30, 2026. A Spirit Runner option is available for t-shirt-only participants.
Attendees can expect costume and team prizes, door prizes, race and fun run buddies, and medals with handmade lanyards from Africa for 1st through 3rd place in each age group. A group discount of 15% applies for groups of five or more. Early packet pick-up will be available at Fleet Feet Memphis on the day before the event.
