Outer Limits After Dark - Mount Louisa is a night trail run held on 11 July 2026 at Calvary Christian College, 569 Bayswater Road, Mount Louisa, Queensland. The course uses Mount Louisa walking tracks and original single track, with sections of paved steps, wide gravel paths, loose rocky trail and steep climbs and descents. Event HQ, the start and finish, are located near the school sports centre.
Courses and entry
Distances:
- 6 km - single loop using local trails and suburban footpaths.
- 10 km - extended loop that includes the summit and additional trail sections.
- 21 km - two laps of the 10 km course.
- Junior short distance available for under 16s.
Registration opens 10 December 2025. Entry fee bands apply: Early Bird, General and Late. Fees vary by distance and date; junior fees are lower. Minimum ages: 8 years for the short distance and 12 years for 10 km.
Safety, facilities and rules
A charged head torch is mandatory for all runners. Additional mandatory gear for 10 km and 21 km includes two compression bandages, a waterproof phone, a whistle, a space blanket and sufficient water and nutrition. The event provides marked and marshalled courses, on-course first aid, aid stations, electronic timing with a chip bib, professional photography and post-race refreshments. There is a bag drop at Event HQ and a turnaround bag drop for 21 km runners. A cut-off applies to the 21 km course at the 10 km turnaround; runners who miss the cutoff may be redirected to the finish or recorded at a shorter distance.
