Event Details
The Aquathon Series - Race 3 is part of the 2026 Townsville Tri Club Aquathon series. This is the final event in a three-race series.
Race Distances
There are several race categories available:
- Junior Aquathon - SMALL: For ages 7-10 (birth years 2016-2019). The format is a 200m run, followed by a 50m swim, and another 200m run.
- Junior Aquathon - BIG: For ages 11-13 (birth years 2013-2015). The format is a 500m run, followed by a 100m swim, and another 500m run.
- Enticer Aquathon: For ages 14-75. The format consists of a 1km run, a 200m swim, another 1km run, another 200m swim, and a final 1km run.
- Sprint Aquathon: For ages 14-75. The format consists of a 2km run, a 400m swim, another 2km run, another 400m swim, and a final 1km run.
Team Categories
This year, the event introduces team categories for the Enticer and Sprint distances. The race formats for these team events are identical to the individual Enticer and Sprint Aquathons.
Series Points
Participants can accumulate points across the three-event series. At each race, the top 20 placed male and female finishers in the individual categories earn points towards the series standings, with first place receiving 20 points, second place 19 points, and so on. Points for the Enticer category count down from 10. Competitors must enter each race separately using the same name for points to be tallied.
Practical Information
Participants who are not members of Triathlon Australia can purchase a one-day licence for the event. The entry fees are $25.00 AUD for Sprint categories, $20.00 AUD for Enticer categories, $10.00 AUD for the Junior Aquathon - BIG, and the Junior Aquathon - SMALL is free.
