TriLending Eliminator at Waurn Ponds
The event is a multi-race eliminator held at Waurn Ponds with start and finish at the Saints Baseball Club on Pioneer Road, Grovedale. The program includes three distances:
- 4 km
- 3 km
- 2 km
All entrants run both the 4 km and the 3 km races. Those two races use sealed handicaps and are run as time trials with runners released in waves to reduce congestion. Times from the 4 km and 3 km races are combined and handicaps are applied to determine the 20 runners who advance to the final 2 km race, which uses a normal handicap start.
Runners will be re-handicapped according to current form prior to competition. Presentation of the season awards, including the Sealed Series and the Championships, will take place after the event, and a short annual general meeting will be held following presentations.
