Ele's Race 5K Run/Walk
Ele's Race 5K is an annual event held in Lansing, Michigan, on the grounds of the Jackson National Life Insurance Company. The event serves as a fundraiser to support bereavement services for children, teens, and young adults in the Capital Region. Proceeds help ensure that support services for grieving families remain available at no cost.
Participants can choose from several different event distances and formats:
- 3.1 Miles: A 5K run or walk open to participants of all ages.
- 1 Mile: Known as the Ray of Sunshine Kids Mile, intended for children aged 12 and under.
- 100 Yards: The Ray of Sunshine Kids Dash for younger children.
- 3.1 Miles (Virtual): A virtual option for those who wish to complete the distance at their own location.
The 100-yard dash is a free event, while the other distances require a registration fee. The physical race takes place on a single day in July, offering a gathered environment for community members to support the local healing center.
