Eldorado Run for the Cure
The Eldorado Run for the Cure is a historic charitable footrace that has been operating in the State of Colorado since 1979. This annual event takes place in Eldorado Springs, with a course that begins and ends at the Eldorado Springs Pool. All proceeds from the race are donated to the Colorado Cancer Foundation to support oncology research at the University of Colorado and provide aid to patients at the CU Hospital in Aurora.
The event features a single distance:
- 4 Miles
The race follows a four mile out-and-back format where participants complete the route twice. The course is set on a gently sloping dirt road, providing a scenic environment for those involved. Since 2023, the route has been updated to follow South Boulder Creek, winding through the cliffs of Eldorado Canyon.
After completing the run, participants have access to the Eldorado Springs Pool. The event includes post-run festivities featuring catered food and drinks. Prizes, including gift certificates to local restaurants, are awarded to participants across different age categories. The event is open to individuals of various ages and abilities. Registration for the event remains open until the evening of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
