EJ Autism 4 Mile Run/Walk
EJ Autism hosts an annual community running event at East Islip Marina with multiple distance options and post-race activities. The main event is a flat, USATF-certified 4 Mile run/walk with a start and finish on the Great South Bay. The program also includes an Irish mile and a quarter-mile kiddie run.

- 1.27 mile Irish Mile
- 1/4 mile Kiddie Run
Amenities include a race T-shirt, post-race party and raffle at a nearby venue, awards for finishers, and vendor presence at the marina. All 4 Mile finishers receive medals. Cash prizes are listed for top overall and masters finishers, plus age-group awards across standard ranges. The school district that brings the most participants receives a $1,000 grant.
Packet pickup is available the day before at a nearby location and on race day at East Islip Marina; same-day registration is permitted at the marina. Road impacts and periodic closures affect Bayview Avenue and several local streets; participants and residents should expect delays. Parking is available at the marina. Strollers are allowed free of charge if the child is registered and start positions are requested toward the back. Dogs are not encouraged.
