EJ Autism 4 Mile Run/Walk
The EJ Autism 4 Mile Run/Walk is an annual community running event held in April at East Islip Marina Park in East Islip, New York. The event features a main 4 mile run and walk, an affiliated 1.27 mile John McGorry Irish Mile, and a 1/4 mile Kiddie Run.

The course is described as flat and runs through local neighborhood streets with a scenic start and finish on the Great South Bay. The course is USATF certified. Pre-race packet pickup is available the day before at Shandon Court, 115 East Main St., East Islip, and there is packet pickup and registration on race day at East Islip Marina.
Awards include medals for all 4 mile finishers, cash prizes for top overall finishers ($500, $300, $200) and master winners ($100), age group awards across multiple bands from 8–12 through 80+, and a $1000 grant for the school district that brings the most participants. The Irish Mile and the Kiddie Run have separate award categories, with awards to all youth finishers.
Event amenities listed include a one of a kind race tee shirt, post race party and raffle at Shandon Court, on course road marshals, vendor space, same day results and finish line photos. Strollers are permitted with a paper registration at the marina and should start at the back. Dogs are not encouraged. Registration is non transfer able and non refundable. Fundraising options and a virtual 4 mile option are available; virtual completion can be shared with a photo using the event hashtag #ejautismsuperhero.
