Education Foundation Ringling Bridge Run
The Education Foundation of Sarasota County presents the third annual Ringling Bridge Run on Sunday, April 26, 2026, hosted at The Bay in Sarasota, FL. The event crosses the Ringling Bridge and includes three event options:
- 5K
- 10K
- Family fun run
Proceeds benefit the Education Foundation of Sarasota County, a nonprofit that supports public school teachers and students. The 5K and 10K registration includes a shirt and a finisher medal. The fun run is free; strollers and service dogs are welcome. Student and Sarasota County teacher registration is set at $25.
Logistics and race information
Parking is available at the Van Wezel Performing Arts lot; the lot will close briefly to accommodate 10K runners. The race starting line is about a four-minute walk from the Van Wezel parking lot. Packet pick-up is scheduled for April 23–25, with times and exact addresses to be announced; packets not picked up by the last pick-up will be forfeited. Route maps are published for the 5K, 10K, and fun run. During the event, traffic will flow in both directions with the eastbound side of the bridge open for two-way traffic and the westbound side closed; traffic will be guided by the Sarasota Police Department.
