Edmund Ganem Memorial 5K Run/Walk
The Edmund Ganem Memorial 5K Run/Walk is a community road event held on May 3, 2026, with start and finish at Terryville High School, 33 North Harwinton Ave, Terryville, CT 06786. Parking is available in front of and behind the school and the course begins near the rear track.
The event offers both competitive 5K running and a 5K walk. Timing is fully automated and the organizers will use a rolling start to allow accurate individual times for large groups. The course is a measured USATF 5K; an online map is available and a printed map will be provided on race day. Course officials and directional markers will be present along the route.
Entry options include early bird, pre-race online, and last-chance registration windows with different fees for runners and walkers. Registration is handled online or by mail; on-site race day registration is noted as cash only. Bib pickup and information support are available on race day from event staff and race marshals.
Awards include a cash prize for the top male and female runners, medals and age-group prizes for first place finishers in each age category, and finisher awards for all participants who complete the course.
