Event overview
The Edisto Island Triathlon Pro-Am takes place on October 24, 2026 in Edisto Island, South Carolina at Bay Creek Park (3701 Docksite Road, 29438). The event is part of the 2026 South Carolina Triathlon Series and offers several entry options: a half iron distance triathlon, a half iron distance relay, a half iron distance aquabike, and a PRO Men & Women half iron distance triathlon. Published entry fees are $250 for the Half Iron Triathlon, $325 for the Half Iron Relay, $160 for the Aquabike, and $125 for the PRO race. The Half Iron and PRO events list eligibility from ages 14 to 99. Registration for the PRO event closes on October 23, 2026.
Course details
The half iron distance course is composed of the following segments:
- SWIM (Half): 1.2 Miles (Ocean/Channel)
- BIKE (Half): 56 Miles
- RUN (Half): 13.1 Miles
The swim is a point-to-point channel swim starting at Live Oak Boat Ramp and finishing at the marina adjacent to Bay Creek Park; it is staged to run with the current and is wetsuit legal. The bike departs from Bay Creek Park, follows the main road north within bike lanes, and includes three turns onto quieter interior roads; the course is described as flat with minimal elevation change. The run is a two-loop out-and-back on interior island roads and partly on Wyndham Resort property, includes a 15 foot climb, passes Whaley's Bar & Grill four times, and has aid stations every 1 to 1.5 miles.
