Event
The Edisto Island Triathlon Pro-Am takes place on October 24, 2026, at Bay Creek Park, 3701 Docksite Road, Edisto Island, SC 29438. The event offers multiple half iron distance formats and is part of the 2026 South Carolina Triathlon Series. Events and distances include:
- SWIM (Half): 1.2 Miles (Ocean/Channel)
- BIKE (Half): 56 Miles
- RUN (Half): 13.1 Miles
Offered race entries include a Half Iron Distance Triathlon, Half Iron Distance Relay, Half Iron Distance Aquabike (swim + bike), and a PRO Men & Women Half Iron Distance Triathlon. Listed entry prices are $285 (Half Iron Triathlon), $360 (Relay), $185 (Aquabike), and $125 (PRO).
Course details
The swim is a point-to-point channel swim that starts at Live Oak Boat Ramp and finishes at the marina adjacent to Bay Creek Park. Organizers stage the swim around the tide so competitors swim with the current; wetsuits are allowed for the swim. The bike course begins at Bay Creek Park, travels north on the main road within bike lanes, then uses quieter local roadways accessed by three turns off the main road; the route is described as having little to no elevation gain. The run is a two-loop out-and-back on interior island roads and partly on Wyndham Resort property; it includes a single climb of about 15 feet and passes Whaley's Bar & Grill four times. Fully stocked aid stations are spaced approximately every 1 to 1.5 miles. Post-event activities are scheduled at Bay Creek Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
