About the race
The Eden Marathon and Half Marathon is a running event held at the Eden Project in Cornwall on Sunday 18 October 2026. The programme includes two distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
Both races follow hilly, multi-terrain courses through local landscapes and areas of mining heritage. The Marathon route is roughly 70% trails, paths and private roads and 30% public roads. The Half Marathon is approximately 60% public roads and 40% trails and paths. The course will be marked with direction signs and marshals.
Every finisher receives a medal; all runners receive a pasty and a beer. Water stations are provided approximately every three miles using non-plastic recyclable cups, with isotonic drinks offered at specific points (Half Marathon mile 7; Marathon miles 7, 14 and 21). Chip timing is used and runners can view a free online analysis of their race via RunPix. Winners receive cash prizes and there are category and team prizes for both races.
Entry pricing for 2026 is published with early bird and full price tiers for both distances. Age limits apply: 18 or older for the Marathon and 17 or older for the Half Marathon. Refunds are available within a 14 day cooling-off period; deferments are not permitted. Some transfers between distances are allowed before specified deadlines. Baggage storage is provided; there are no shower facilities. Headphones are not permitted in order to comply with race regulations.
