Eden Marathon and Half Marathon
The Eden Marathon and Half Marathon takes place at the Eden Project in Cornwall on 18 October 2026. The event offers two distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
Both courses run on hilly, multi-terrain routes through local countryside and areas of mining heritage. The Marathon route is roughly 70% trails, paths and private roads and 30% public roads. The Half Marathon is roughly 60% public roads and 40% trails and paths. The course is waymarked and marshals are posted along the route.
Facilities and race services include themed medals for finishers, a pasty and a beer for every runner, cash prizes and category prizes, chip timing and free online race analysis via RunPix. Water is provided approximately every three miles using non-plastic recyclable cups; isotonic drinks are supplied at specified points. Baggage storage is available; there are no shower facilities. Use of headphones is not permitted under the event rules because parts of the course are on roads open to traffic.
Entry terms and selection details are set by the organisers. Age limits apply: entrants must be at least 18 for the Marathon and 17 for the Half Marathon. The Marathon operates a five and a half hour total cut off with interim cut-off points at designated miles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
