Event overview
The Echo 136 is a 136-mile trail race in Whitewater, Wisconsin, scheduled for September 25, 2026. Registration opens on November 25, 2025. The race uses the Ice Age State Trail and is routed through the Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. A 55-hour time allowance is provided to complete the course.
Course and aid stations
The route follows a mix of groomed trail, singletrack, bike paths and road connectors along the Ice Age State Trail. There are nine fully stocked aid stations with covered tents, chairs, cots, water, soda, electrolyte drink and a range of food options. Aid station placement uses mile markers from the FarOut app and the organizer notes the placement may change. Example locations on the route include the Rice Lake boat launch at the start, Butler Lake, and the finish at CTH P.
