Echo 136

Echo 136 is a 136 mile trail event in Whitewater, Wisconsin, held on the Ice Age State Trail through the Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. The course follows a mix of wide groomed trails, single track, bike paths and road connectors and is set up to be completed within a 55 hour time limit.

The organizer provides nine staffed aid stations along the route. Aid stations are covered with tents and include chairs and cots. They are stocked with water, soda, ice, an electrolyte drink and a range of foods including sweet, salty and warm options. A main entree menu will be published. The organizer will consider dietary preferences such as vegan, vegetarian and gluten free; runners with celiac disease are asked to notify the organizer because gluten cross contamination cannot be guaranteed.

Key course points use FarOut app mile markers and the organizer notes that placement may change due to trail management or field conditions. The listed total elevation gain is 11,148 ft and total loss is 10,961 ft, with a notice that measurements are approximate and will vary by device and source.

Additional policies include no alcohol provided by the organizer, no race day registration, a cupless policy with refills for personal vessels, and a restriction on cowbells and similar noise makers while vocal encouragement is allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
