Eastern States 20 Miler & Half Marathon
The Eastern States event on Sunday, March 22, 2026 is a coastal road race produced by Millennium Running offering two point-to-point distances that run to Hampton Beach, NH. The courses follow the New Hampshire and Maine Seacoast along Route 1A and adjacent roads, with scenic shoreline sections through Kittery, Portsmouth, Rye, and Hampton.
- 20 Miler - Kittery, ME to Hampton Beach, NH along the Seacoast
- Half Marathon - Rye, NH to Hampton Beach, NH along Route 1A
Participant parking is located at Hampton Beach State Park, and dedicated shuttle buses transport runners from that parking area to each start. Runner drop-off is permitted at the start locations but there is no on-site parking at the start lines. Gear check is available at both start lines with pickup at the finish. Bathrooms are provided at parking, both starts, and the finish. Strollers are not permitted.
Aid stations are supplied approximately every 2.5 to 3 miles: seven stations on the 20 Miler and five on the Half Marathon. Stations provide water, Gatorade, and port-o-johns; GU Energy products are available at specific mid- to late-race stations. Mile markers count down toward the finish. Course time limits are 4.5 hours for the 20 Miler and 3.5 hours for the Half Marathon. All finishers receive medals; age-group and overall awards are given. In-person and virtual entries are offered, with virtual results accepted through March 23, 2026. T-shirts are limited to the first 1,200 registrants combined.
