About the race
The Easter Rabbit Hop takes place on 27 March 2027 at the Statesville Soccer Complex on the greenway in Statesville, North Carolina. The event includes short distance running races on a primarily fast course with slight elevation changes. No dogs are allowed.

Registration opens 1 September 2026 and closes 13 March 2027. Entry fees vary by event and category; listed fees include $15 for the main 5 km, $10 for a youth 5 km entry, $8 for the 1 mile, and $5 for youth 1 mile entries.
The event is part of a Championship Series. Series eligibility requires competing in 10 of 15 races; each race beyond 10 earns one additional point. Completing all 15 races earns five bonus points and a free race entry for 2027. Points for individual race results are allocated as follows: Overall 1st 12 points, Overall 2nd 10 points, Overall 3rd 9 points; Masters 1st 8 points, Masters 2nd 7 points, Masters 3rd 6 points; Age group 1st 5 points, 2nd 4 points, 3rd 3 points; all other participants 2 points.
Awards are given nightly for overall, masters, and five-year age groups. Prize money for top five male and female Championship winners is listed as $60, $50, $40, $30, and $20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
