Event Details
The East Lake Firefighters 5K is a chip-timed running event scheduled for February 28, 2026. It starts and finishes at East Lake Fire Rescue Station 57 on Tarpon Lake Blvd in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Registration & Cost
The standard registration fee is $40, increasing to $45 for race-day registration. Participants who register by February 5, 2026, are guaranteed their requested t-shirt size when picking up their race packet.
What's Included
All registered participants receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. A post-race pancake breakfast is provided at the fire station.
Awards
Awards are given for top overall male and female finishers, as well as for first, second, and third place in several age groups: 17 & Under, 18–50, and 51+. Top overall winners also receive a gift certificate.
Purpose
The event is organized by the East Lake Firefighters Benevolent Association. The association, founded in 2022, supports first responders with serious medical challenges and engages in local community outreach. Proceeds from the 2026 event will benefit the family of a retired fire chief whose granddaughter is battling brain cancer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
