Winter Indoor Triathlon
The Winter Indoor Triathlon is an indoor time-based event on December 5, 2026 that uses the facility pool, spin classroom and indoor track. The event is organized into sequential timed segments: 15 minute swim, 10 minute transition, 25 minute indoor bike, 5 minute transition, and 20 minute run.
Swim distances are recorded as lengths; a volunteer will record lengths per lane and a pool deck clock marks the end of the swim. Any stroke may be used and brief breaks during the swim are allowed. Use of a life jacket or snorkel is permitted but makes a participant ineligible for overall awards and official placement.
Cycling takes place on Stages SC3 indoor cycle bikes in the spin room. Power meter values are recorded, with final numbers noted to the nearest tenth of a mile. Clip in pedals or toe cages may be used. A cycle instructor and volunteers assist with bike setup and recording.
The run is completed on the third floor track. Laps are recorded by the timing system with volunteer backup; nine laps on the outer lane equal one mile. Each participant receives a race bib with a timing chip.
Participants are placed in 30 minute heats and assigned a start slot unless a request is made. Packet pickup occurs in the facility lobby before each heat and includes event swag. Results and point scoring are posted after the event; scoring awards 100 points to the furthest distance in each leg and prorates other performances.
