East Bay Running Festival
The East Bay Running Festival is a multi-event community running and walking event in Warren, Rhode Island, with proceeds benefiting the Bristol Warren Education Foundation. The event features a food festival, a beer garden, live music, and family activities including a petting zoo, character visits, face painting, and crafts.
The 5k and 10k are USATF certified courses that start and finish on the grounds of the Pete Sepe Pavilion and follow the Warren Bike Path out toward Touisset Point, passing farms, stone walls, and scenic shoreline. Both races are chip timed. The 1-mile walk follows the Bike Path to Long Lane; Long Lane is described as a quiet country road and will be closed to automobile traffic during the race and walk period. Kids obstacle course races take place on the pavilion grounds on a wide open field and use age-appropriate layouts.
Awards are given to overall finishers and to age-group winners, and there are team awards for fundraising, fastest team average pace, and team spirit. Registered participants who preregister receive a T-shirt. Each runner receives two food coupons and one drink coupon on their bib, redeemable for select vendor items and beverages at the beer garden.
