East Bay Front Runners Pride Run and Walk
The 22nd Annual East Bay Front Runners Pride Run and Walk is presented by East Bay Front Runners and Walkers with both in-person and virtual options. The event includes 5K and 10K distances and marks National Coming Out Day.
In-person events take place at Lake Merritt in downtown Oakland, with the start and finish at the Adams Point picnic area adjacent to the Lake Merritt Sailboat House in Lakeside Park, 568 Bellevue Avenue, Oakland, CA 94610. The in-person 5K is a single loop around Lake Merritt and the 10K is two loops.
Virtual participants have from Saturday, October 10, 2026 through Sunday, October 18, 2026 to complete their chosen distance anywhere they like. Virtual entrants receive a PDF bib and a finisher certificate and ribbon; they must submit results no later than Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Participant benefits and event details vary by participation type. In-person participants receive a finisher ribbon, a pair of rainbow-tipped Pride socks, and access to discounted shopping at Sports Basement and Road ID; top finishers receive medals. Virtual participants receive a PDF bib, a finisher certificate, a finisher ribbon, and the same discounted shopping offers. Finisher times will be published online and on social media. Proceeds benefit Running for a Better Oakland, Fishnets and Film, the Pacific Center for Human Growth, and East Bay Front Runners & Walkers. No refunds or exchanges.
