Lake Merced ½ Marathon and 4.5 Mile Run - San Francisco
This event is scheduled for September 27, 2026 at the Lake Merced Main Parking Lot, Lake Merced and Sunset Boulevards, San Francisco, CA 94132. The course uses the paved bike path around Lake Merced and offers support and post-race provisions.
Distances
- Half marathon - three loops around the paved Lake Merced bike path
- 4.5 mile loop - single lap around Lake Merced
Aid stations are provided along the course and post-race snacks are available. All finishers receive finisher ribbons; place ribbons are awarded to the Top 5 overall M/F/NB runners in each race. Parking is available at the main parking lot near Sunset Boulevard, with additional parking along Lake Merced Boulevard.
The event is held rain or shine and the organizer notes there are no refunds. For insurance and safety reasons the use of baby joggers, dogs, and headphones is not permitted. Entry fee is listed as 10 USD for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
