Easley Lions Club Glenn Farrow Firecracker Frolic 5K
The Easley Lions Club Glenn Farrow Firecracker Frolic is a community 5K held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Easley, South Carolina. This is the 33rd running of the event. The course runs on the streets of Easley and starts and ends at Old Market Square, using the same route as in previous years. The event is open to people who run, jog, or walk. The course is not closed to traffic; intersections will be monitored by police and Lions Club volunteers. The race will proceed in rain, but the start may be delayed if there is lightning.
Registration, awards and beneficiaries
The entry fee for the 5K is $25. Early packet pickup is available at Academy Sports in Easley on July 3. Race day registration is held beside the start line. Participants who register by June 22, 2025 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Age group awards are offered in the following ranges: 0-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. Proceeds support vision and local charities, including glasses and eye exams for Pickens County residents, Lions Vision Services, Storm Eye Institute, Leader Dog School, Rocky Bottom Camp for the Blind, Camp Lions Den, South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind, United Christian Ministries, and other community programs.
