Event Overview
The Easley Lions Club Glenn Farrow Firecracker Frolic 5K returns for its 33rd edition in Easley, South Carolina. This community event takes place on July 4th and is open to participants who wish to run, jog, or walk. The race follows a course through the streets of Easley, with the start and finish lines located at Old Market Square in the downtown area.
Course Details
The 5K route remains the same as in previous years. Participants should be aware that the course is not closed to traffic, so vehicles may be present on the road. To assist with safety, local police and volunteers monitor intersections and provide directional guidance. The event proceeds in the rain, though lightning will result in a delay until conditions are safe.

Awards and Recognition
Awards are presented to various age groups, starting from 14 and under up to 75 and over. Cash prizes are provided for the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, the event features a selection of prizes and drawings for participants.

Proceeds from the Firecracker Frolic support several charitable organizations and initiatives. These include vision services and eye exams for individuals in Pickens County, local camps for the blind, and various community assistance programs such as Sleep in Heavenly Peace and United Christian Ministries.
