Earth Day 50k/15 Mile/5 Mile
This is a trail running event held at Veterans Acres in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The event offers multiple distances and uses a 5 mile loop course that runs on single track and rolling hills. The course is set up as a PR trail race and the start route passes around a pond and ball field to allow runners to spread out before single track.

There is one major aid station located at the start and finish area. Aid station offerings include cookies, PB and J, sports drink, soda, chips, and pretzels. Organizers are working toward making the race landfill free and ask participants to bring their own water bottle. Participants have eight hours to complete their race distance.
Awards include first overall male and female, which are removed from age group awards. Age group awards for men and women are Under 29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. Runners may only win awards in the distance they are registered for; changes to a shorter distance must be made by April 8 to remain eligible. Registration closes April 10 at 11:59 PM CT.
Packet pickup is available Friday evening at the race headquarters and on race morning at the pavilion near the main parking lot. The event offers rollover and deferral options with specific deadlines and no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
