Eagle and Child : Perth Trail Series (Winter Series Event 3)
Eagle and Child is a trail running event held by Perth Trail Series at Red Hill Auditorium on 19 July 2026. The event uses marked courses on natural trails and a village-style start and finish at the Red Hill venue. Drummers provide live drumming at the venue and food trucks operate at the finish area. Friends and family can gather at the start and finish village to watch and cheer.
Course options and approximate elevation:
- Green: 5.5 km (approx. 110 m elevation)
- Blue: 13.3 km (approx. 350 m elevation)
- Black: 20.6 km (approx. 500 m elevation)
Organizers supply course markings and an event brief that is emailed the Wednesday prior to the event. Bib pickup is on race day only at the start and finish area. Registration typically remains open until the Tuesday before the event unless the event sells out earlier. Participants may request to drop down in distance on the day by informing event staff.
Children have minimum age and experience requirements per course. Green course minimum age is 6 years; children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Blue course minimum age is 12 years and requires completion of three Green events prior to entry; first time Blue entrants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Black course minimum age is 16 years and requires completion of three Blue events prior to entry; first time Black entrants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
