Trail Running at Red Hill Auditorium
Eagle and Child is a trail running event held at the Red Hill Auditorium in Red Hill, Western Australia. The event utilizes the surrounding national park, offering participants the opportunity to run on remote trails. The race village is located at the music venue, featuring a DJ and food trucks at the finish line.
The event features three distinct categories based on distance and experience level:
- Green Course: Distances range from 5 km to 7 km on remote trails. This category is open to both walkers and runners.
- Blue Course: Distances range from 10 km to 15 km on remote trails.
- Black Course: Distances range from 12 km to 16 km on remote trails, intended for experienced trail runners.
The course is fully marked by the organizers. Participants collect their event bibs on the day of the race at the start and finish area. There are specific age requirements for younger participants. Children must be at least 6 years old for the Green course, 12 years old for the Blue course, and 16 years old for the Black course, with additional requirements regarding adult supervision and prior event experience for certain distances.
