Dyfi Aquathlon
Dyfi Aquathlon combines a long open-water swim in the Dyfi estuary with a trail run back to Aberdyfi along the Wales Coast Path. The event's main format pairs a swim and a run of equal distance along a coastal route.
- 13 km open-water swim
- 13 km trail run to Aberdyfi
Participants should be able to sustain a minimum open-water swim speed of 3 km/h for at least 2 hours 30 minutes; the final 3 km of the swim is noted as the most demanding section. There is no cut-off time on the run.
The event provides a drop-bag service to the end of the swim and will transfer swim kit back to the finish. Live GPS tracking is used so followers can monitor athletes and receive live finish results. Entry categories and fees published for the event include early bird, standard, late and relay options, with a stated entry closing date.
Information and records from previous years include results and photo archives. Local accommodation options range from hotels within a short walk of registration to nearby campsites and wild camping approximately a few kilometres from the village.
