DurbaNite Race
The DurbaNite Race is a monthly 5 km night race and walk held around the Marine Walk Shopping Centre in Umdloti, KwaZulu-Natal. The route mixes road and trail sections so participants pass both paved areas and natural paths near the mall.
The event is presented as a community activity aimed at encouraging local residents to be active. The 5 km course is changed every month to vary the route. The format accommodates both runners and walkers.
Entrants are automatically entered into a post-race lucky draw at the finish. Prizes include items such as Salomon running shoes and merchandise vouchers. Super Spar Salta provides refreshments at the finish and Blast Vitality supplies the HYDRATE recovery drink for participants.
