Pick n Pay Durban Sunrise Run 2026
The Pick n Pay Durban Sunrise Run takes place on 26 September 2026 at the Amphitheatre on the Durban Beachfront in KwaZulu-Natal. The event has a new start venue and a revised race route.
Distances offered:
- 10 km (minimum age 14 years)
- 21 km (minimum age 16 years)
- 42 km 2 laps (minimum age 20 years)
Registration is scheduled the day before the race at Southern Sun Garden Court on Snell Parade, with additional race day registration available at the start venue. Online entries are also offered.
The 42 km distance is listed as a Comrades Marathon qualifier for 2027. The event is officially sanctioned by KZN Athletics. DHS Old Boys is the host club in partnership with B-Active Events. The first 2 000 paid entries receive a Pick n Pay goodie bag and a pair of custom race sox.
The event carries a total prize purse of R25 000. Example first place prizes include R2 600 for the 42 km, R1 400 for the 21 km and R750 for the 10 km. Multiple entry periods are published with Early Bird, Standard and Late pricing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
