About the race
TinMan Durban #3 is part of the 2026 TINMAN Series held at Suncoast Casino on the Durban Golden Mile. The event date for this race is 8 November 2026 and the series also includes races on 22 February and 26 April 2026. Registration takes place at the Suncoast Sundeck in Durban, with race day registration from 5:45am to 7am at the Sundeck. The event offers multiple timed and untimed classes across running, triathlon, duathlon, and relay formats.
Race settings are defined as follows: swimming in the sea, cycling on closed roads, and running along the Durban Promenade towards South Beach and back. Triathlon licences are required either annually from Triathlon SA or as a temporary day licence. Available classes include: * 10km Run (two laps of 5km) * Mini Tri 200m swim 6km cycle 2.5km run age 8yrs and up * Super Sprint Tri 400m swim 12km cycle 2.5km run age 12yrs and up * Sprint Tri 750m swim 22km cycle 5km run age 16yrs and up * Sprint Relay Teams 750m swim 22km cycle 5km run * Sprint Duathlon 5km run 22km cycle 2.5km run age 16yrs and up * Challenge Tri 1.2km swim 32km cycle 10km run age 17yrs and up * Challenge Relay Team 1.2km swim 32km cycle 10km run Entries include a reusable race number, timed overall result, medical and safety support, swim lifeguards, road closure for the bike leg, finishers medal, and on course and finish-line provisions.
