TinMan Durban #3
TinMan Durban #3 is a multi-discipline event held at Suncoast Casino in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The races use the sea for swimming, closed public roads for the cycling legs, and the Durban Promenade for the running legs. Registration takes place at the Suncoast Sundeck on race morning.
Available race options include:
- 10 km fun run (two laps)
- Mini Triathlon: 200m swim / 6km cycle / 2.5km run, 8+ years
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim / 12km cycle / 2.5km run, 12+ years
- Sprint Triathlon and Relay: 750m swim / 22km cycle / 5km run, 16+ years
- Sprint Duathlon: 5km run / 22km cycle / 2.5km run, 16+ years
- Challenge Triathlon and Relay: 1.2km swim / 32km cycle / 10km run, 18+ years
The event is organised by Delta Sport and is held under Triathlon South Africa rules. Entry includes a reusable race number, official timing, medical assistance, swim lifeguards and run marshals, full road closure for the bike leg, a finishers medal, and cold aQuelle at the finish line. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and a lucky draw is held.
Athletes must hold an annual Triathlon SA licence or purchase a temporary day licence valid for the event. Online entries close on the Thursday before each event at midnight. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
