Event Overview
The Dunedin Halloween Costume 10K takes place in Downtown Dunedin, Florida, starting and ending at the HOB Brewing Company. This annual event encourages participants to wear costumes as they welcome Halloween week. The course utilizes the fully paved Pinellas Trail, providing a smooth surface for both runners and walkers.
The event offers two primary distances:
- 5K Run or Walk
- 10K Run (2 loop course)
The 10K distance consists of two loops of the 5K out-and-back course on the Pinellas Trail. The event is electronically timed using the RaceSplitter Timing system, though it is designed for a non-competitive atmosphere; results are not posted on-site at the venue but are available online later in the day.
Participant Information
Every registrant receives a themed t-shirt and a finisher's medal. Participants who are of legal age also receive a free craft beer at the post-race party. While the event maintains a relaxed environment, framed awards are available at the finish line for the first 15 male and first 15 female finishers in each distance. Additional awards may be provided for senior and younger participants who demonstrate exceptional performance.
Logistics
Free parking is available at the Artisan parking garage located on Monroe Street, a short walk from the HOB Beer Complex via the Pinellas Trail. A bag check zone is provided on-site for those who do not wish to leave belongings in their vehicles. Check-in is conducted on the morning of the event.
