Dunecht Dash 5km Race and 2km Fun Run 2026
The Dunecht Dash takes place at Dunecht House within the estate grounds near Dunecht Village. The event features two accurately measured and timed distances held primarily on private tarmac roads.

The 2 km timed run is open to all participants. The 5 km race is open to individuals aged 7 and older who have experience with the distance. Both routes start and finish at Dunecht House and are extensively signposted and marshalled. While most of the course is on private roads, the 5 km route includes a short section on a quiet public road.
The event site includes portable toilet facilities and a dedicated water station provided by AquAid Aberdeen. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable water containers. On-site catering is available for hot and cold snacks, and fruit is provided at the finish line. All finishers receive a participation medal made from sustainable materials.
Registration occurs on the morning of the event, where participants collect their race numbers. Parking is available at Dunecht House and the estate cricket club field, accessible from the A944 Aberdeen-Alford road. All proceeds from the event support the Dunecht School Parent Council.
