Burnsall 12K
The Burnsall 12K is a trail race in the Due North series scheduled for Saturday 17 April 2027. The route follows the first section of the Burnsall half marathon with a diversion near Appletreewick to return to the finish in Burnsall. The course is described as closer to 11 km than a precisely measured 12 km and is fully way marked. Age entry is restricted to 17 years and over.
The event is run under UK Athletics rules and licensed by the TRA. The venue is the Riverside car park field in Burnsall village, with the Red Lion pub and the nearby bridge noted as local landmarks. A route GPX is available for download.
On-course provisions include a drinks station offering water, juice, fruit and sweets, and there is post-race food. Facilities include toilet blocks at the top of the car park and in the smaller car park on the other side of the bridge. Prize results and awards are communicated by email for overall and veteran categories.
Minimum kit is mandatory and a breach of race rules if not carried; required items include a waterproof jacket, a cup or bottle for water since no cups are provided, and a mobile phone with a location app. The event is supported by The North Face and Sportsshoes.com. Entry fees are listed as UKA Member £27 and Non-UKA Member £29, with a discount of up to £7.50 for entries to three or more events in the series. No dogs are allowed on Due North races.
