Duck NC Turkey Trot 5K - 2026
The Duck Turkey Trot 5K is a charitable run and walk held in Duck, North Carolina, produced by the Outer Banks Track Club, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports youth runners in Dare County. The event takes place in downtown Duck near Scarborough Faire and uses local streets and subdivisions for the course.
The course starts on Christopher Drive adjacent to Scarborough Faire, proceeds toward the Atlantic, turns south on Ocean Way, returns toward the sound on Scarborough Lane to NC 12, heads north on NC 12 to Schooner Ridge Drive, goes over the hill on Schooner Ridge and Chip Court, completes a loop on Schooner Ridge Drive, then returns south on NC 12 to finish near the start on Christopher Drive. The course includes aid stations and a visible race clock at the finish. The event is not chip timed; top finishers will be posted but full timing for all participants will not be published.
Each registration includes a tee shirt, a swag bag, a hot drink ticket, a beer ticket for those over 21, and postrace carbohydrates. Prizes will be awarded to the first male and first female finishers and randomly to other racers. Packet pickup takes place the evening before at Swells'a Brewing Duck Dive Bar. The reception and after event celebration are held at Tree House Cafe and Coffee in the Scarborough Faire Shopping Village. No pets are allowed.
