Blackbeard's Revenge 100 Ultra & Relay
Blackbeard's Revenge 100 is an ultra running event held March 20–21, 2027 on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The event offers multiple formats across a point-to-point coastal route that is 100% paved and runs along coastal roads with ocean views, wind, and salt air.
Distances and formats include:
- 100 Mile from Corolla to Hatteras
- 100K from Nags Head to Hatteras
- 100 Mile Relay and 100 Mile Relay Chariot
- Virtual 100 Mile and Virtual 100K options
The event includes solo runners, relay teams, ruckers, and chariot teams such as Ainsley’s Angels. The race uses a pirate theme: participants choose pirate names for their bibs and costumes, signs, and pirate humor are part of the event atmosphere. The finish area is in Hatteras at The Wreck Tiki Bar.
Virtual participants create their own course, submit finish results, and receive event items after submission. Virtual 100 Mile entrants receive a race shirt, a finisher's belt buckle, and a commemorative bumper sticker. Virtual 100K entrants receive a race shirt, a finisher's medal, and a commemorative bumper sticker.
Registration opens May 1, 2026. In-person distances listed close registration on June 13, 2026. Virtual entries close March 16, 2027; pacer registration remains open through race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
